Matacanes
we hiked from 11am to 8pm through this river and now I have swollen ankles. More like cankles. Really, really unusual amazing place. It should be a national park, but this is better because it has limited access. The limitation is 10 miles of unpaved road that even gives fearless Mexicans adrenaline in order to arrive at the river. Ever kiss under a waterfall? I have!

Is this the famous place of frigid, crystal clear green water, and tumultous waterfalls to jump from and caverns to swim through that I have seen photos of and heard sparkling reports about??
